Loesche Energy Systems, Ltd. - Exclusive Sales AgreementApr 20th, 2011
Greenbank Energy Solutions, Inc. and CBP Engineering Corp announce an Exclusive Sales Agreement with Loesche Energy Systems, Ltd.
Dateline - April 2011
Greenbank Energy Solutions, Inc. and CBP Engineering Corp., subsidiaries of The Greenbank Group, Inc., are pleased to announce that it has recently signed an exclusive sales agreement for North America with Loesche Energy Systems Ltd. (LES) of the United Kingdom for sales and marketing of its Dynamic Classifiers to the power industry.
Loesche Energy Systems is a subsidiary of Loesche GmbH headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany. Loesche GmbH is a family owned business with a 100+ year history of designing and supplying grinding and classifying equipment to the cement and power industry .
Loesche Energy Systems was launched 7 years ago to market dynamic classifiers to the coal fired power sector worldwide. To date, Loesche Energy Systems have designed, built and delivered over 400 classifiers and have a reference list that includes retrofits to mills in the UK, China and Poland, to name a few, and have a growing base of satisfied customers.
CBP Engineering and Loesche Energy Systems entered into discussions in May of 2010 in an effort to tie together the company’s products and capabilities in the area of coal fired boiler combustion optimization. The Loesche dynamic classifier is unique in regards to other dynamic classifiers in the North American market place.
Virtually all the pulverizers in North America have a fixed or static classifier. A dynamic classifier is one that is designed to rotate, via a drive motor, which lowers pressure drop, enhances grinding and increases throughput as much as 15%.
In addition to mills with static classifiers, power stations that are firing Powder River Basin (PRB) coal, also represent a good target opportunity as these plants are usually forced to operate all of their mills, including spares, on a boiler set to achieve maximum megawatt output due to the lower calorific value of the PRB coal while gaining the benefit of price and lower sulfur content of the coal.
This venture provides our customers a new dimension for our Greenbank Energy Solutions, Inc. (GESI) boiler optimization equipment. Certain mills are ideal candidates for both, a dynamic classifier and coal flow balancing, utilizing our Variable Area Rope Breaker (VARB) technology to further enhance the mill's efficiency. The combination will significantly reduce the pressure drop through the mill, produce an excellent fuel grind and deliver balanced fuel flow to the furnace.
In instances where the customer is experiencing high LOI, the GESI carbon in ash monitor (G-Cam), combined with a Loesche dynamic classifier offers the customer the ability to confirm the efficiency of the new classifier in reducing high LOI.
